Bare Board and Assembly Design Training and Certification

The Bare Board and Assembly Design Training and Certification is a basic training for designers and developers in the electronic industry. Not a subject of this training however will be how to use the CAD software programs, generally used by bare board designer. The reason being that there are many different programs, all with their own peculiarities and the manufacturers offer support themselves.

The designer is at the beginning of the production processes for electronic products. Failures made at this stage will have their influence on subsequent steps and can lead to a final product not operating or at least not reliable.

Obviously typical design themes will be discussed in this training, like they are to be found in IPC Design standards IPC-2221, IPC-2222 and IPC-2223. But because we want to offer our participants a complete package we integrated information and criteria from other IPC standards as well. Amongst others the most important standards on bare board manufacturing from the IPC 6010 series. But also the acceptance criteria for assemblies from IPC-A-610 are discussed. Rework and repair procedures are to be found in IPC-7711/7721 and these will get their turn as well. The finishing off is then with the IPC-7351, the document in which the pad geometries for SMD components can be found.

The Bare Board and Assembly Design Training is suitable for the following target group:

This Bare Board and Assembly Design Training is the training of choice for designers and developers who want to be informed about various IPC standards that are of interest to a designer, being the design standards but also the bare board standards, assembly standards and even the rework standard.
But also for others from the areas bare board manufacturing and assembly this training can be interesting, because you get the so-called view outside the box, no matter what area you come from.

Application of the Bare Board and Assembly Design Training and Certification.

The application of this Bare Board and Assembly Design Training is that you get a summary from various IPC standards, namely the information that is important for a designer. Next to the information from the design standards also the acceptance criteria for bare boards and assemblies are introduced here. Thus you get a lot of useful information from various documents in a timespan which you would normally need for one of just a few documents.

The added value of the Bare Board and Assembly Design Training and Certification.

A lot of information regarding design- and acceptance criteria of the IPC in a short time is what this training offers. It helps a designer to understand the connections between design, bare board and assembly. Since the designer hereby receives insights in the world of the bare board as well as the assemblies he gets the wide picture, which might help him improve his designs.
