Do you enjoy technology, sharing your knowledge and being on the road? As a technical trainer at PIEK, you combine teaching with travel. You visit companies at home and abroad, meet professionals from the electronics industry and help them develop their skills.

Your work takes you to different locations across Europe and occasionally beyond. Regular travel and hotel stays are part of the job. This role suits someone who enjoys working independently, discovering new environments and helping others learn.

We are looking for two new colleagues: one trainer based in the Netherlands and one based in Germany.

Based in the Netherlands or Germany

Technical trainer based in the Netherlands

You deliver training in Dutch and English and have an excellent command of both languages, spoken and written. Do you also speak another foreign language, such as German or French? That is a plus. The Netherlands will be your base for training assignments at home and abroad.

Technical trainer based in Germany

You mainly deliver training in German and have an excellent command of German, spoken and written. Knowledge of an additional foreign language, such as English or French, is a plus. Germany will be your base for training assignments at various locations.

Both positions are full-time. You will regularly spend several days away from home, depending on the training location and schedule.

What will you do?

As a technical trainer at PIEK, you deliver courses for professionals in the electronics industry. You make technical subjects easy to understand and help participants apply what they learn in their daily work. Your courses combine theory with practical explanations and exercises.

You deliver training at our training centres and at customer sites. You prepare your lessons using the available training materials, answer questions and adapt your explanations to the group’s knowledge and experience. You stay in touch with your colleagues about course content and delivery.

The variety comes from the people, companies and locations. Every group brings different experiences and questions. This keeps your work interesting and gives you opportunities to keep learning too.

Who are we looking for?

You have an interest in technology and electronics and enjoy sharing your knowledge. You explain things clearly, listen carefully and have the patience to try a different approach when someone needs it.

You also recognise yourself in the following:

  • You have a technical background or relevant practical experience, preferably in electronics.
  • You enjoy travelling and are willing to spend several days away from home regularly.
  • You work independently and take responsibility for preparing and delivering your courses well.
  • You are flexible and comfortable working with different companies and groups.
  • You hold a valid driving licence.
  • You want to keep developing both your technical knowledge and your teaching skills.

Experience as a trainer is welcome. If you have not worked as a trainer yet but have a solid technical foundation and enjoy helping others learn, we would still like to hear from you. Through internal training and guidance, we help you develop the skills you need to become a technical trainer at PIEK.
